We Know What Struggle Feels Like
For years, both of us worked in a way that was polar opposite to “Ultraproductive”.
Trying to squeeze every last drop out of the day, we treated ourselves like machines — constantly on, multitasking, and never truly disconnecting.
Both of us worked 70+ hour weeks but couldn’t find even one hour of uninterrupted time at work due to endless emails and instant messages. And despite sleeping 7+ hours per night, we started our days feeling exhausted rather than energized.
We knew there had to be a better way.. and our quest to find it began…
Eric began researching evidence-based studies in psychology, neuroscience, habit change, leadership, and peak performance. He completed a coaching certification with the High Performance Institute, as well as a coaching certification and apprenticeship with Professor BJ Fogg, who leads Stanford University’s Behavior Design Lab.
Christian obtained a PhD (“summa cum laude”) on the interplay between stress and performance. He then served as Senior Fellow “Future of Work” in the German national parliament before co-founding and directing the European Center for Digital Competitiveness at ESCP Business School.
